INGLENOOK Blancaneaux, Napa Valley 2024 Bottle
About this wine
Inglenook Blancaneaux, Napa Valley
First crafted in 1999 as the white companion to Inglenook's flagship Rubicon red, Blancaneaux is an estate-grown Rhône blend from the historic Rutherford property. The vines sit at the base of Mount St John, where early afternoon shade preserves natural acidity in a region famous for heat.
Winemaker Philippe Bascaules ferments and ages the grapes predominantly in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with a small proportion matured in French oak. Lees stirring builds texture without sacrificing precision, resulting in a fresh, structural white rather than an over-oaked style.
Viognier leads the aromatics, offering white peach, pear, and honeysuckle perfume. On the palate, Marsanne and Roussanne deliver weight, stone fruit flavours, and a distinct mineral spine. It is a compelling alternative to top-tier white Burgundy for collectors seeking cellaring potential and undeniable estate prestige.
