Elegant and complex, Jansz vintage sparkling is produced only in exceptional years. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the blocks of fruit are harvested and vinified separately. ABOUT THE WINERY
Jansz
Jansz is located in the heart of the Pipers River region in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. Part of the Hill-Smith Family vineyards, the winery has plantings of 15 ha of Chardonnay, 12 ha of Pinot Noir and 3 ha of Pinot Meunier. Jansz is the only Tasmanian winery focused exclusively on producing sparkling wines. The winery was the first in Tasmania to produce a traditional method sparkling wine and under the leadership of long-time winemaker Natalie Fryar, the range of sparkling wines have gone from strength to strength. Jansz’s range includes two non-vintage cuvees and several vintage styles including a late-disgorged vintage wine made only in exceptional years.
