Elegant and textural, Lake’s Folly Yellow Label Chardonnay typically shows white peach, stonefruit aromas, creamy textures, underlying toasty, grilled nut flavours and long mineral acidity. First planted at Lake’s Folly in 1969 on alluvial flats, the Chardonnay vines are derived from Penfolds selection material. The handpicked fruit is lightly crushed and drained through a press. The free run juice is cold settled and then vinified in large stainless steel before completing fermentation and maturation for 8 months in new, one and two year old Francois Frères barriques.
