Merlot, once maligned, is well and truly back in the hearts and minds of fine wine lovers. We've included three of the world's most iconic wine regions in this premium merlot upgrade. Experience the complexity, depth and character of merlot from three legendary labels, at extraordinary prices. Enjoy this Online Exclusive––with an incredible upgrade to the magic of Grand Cru––for a limited time only.
You'll find three wines in this dozen, all from legendary regions. We start with ten bottles of Clarendon Hills Brookman Vineyard Merlot from McLaren Vale (RRP $75), sourced from a legendary Australian vineyard. Then we upgrade two bottles, the first is the rarer-than-hens teeth 2019 YARRA YERING Merlot from the Yarra Valley (RRP $105). Rarely made and highly collectible, this is merlot par excellence. The next upgrade sends this pack to the stratosphere, the 97-point marvel that is the CHATEAU LE TERTRE ROTEBOEUF Grand cru, St-Emilion (RRP $365). 'Easily one of the wines of the vintage...' exclaimed top Bordeaux expert Jane Anson. This is a superb trio of internationally acclaimed wines. The value is high, the number of packs is ultra-limited.

Robert Parker
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Le Tertre Roteboeuf offers up gorgeous wild blueberries, crushed blackcurrants and redcurrants notes with touches of lavender, violets, Sichuan pepper and cloves plus a waft of anise. The medium to full-bodied palate is very firm with ripe, grainy tannins and wonderful freshness and depth, finishing very long with some exotic spices coming through.

Beautifully fragrant, this is a great example of limestone terroir encouraging floral aromatics, particularly in lighter vintages such as 2017 (I am thoroughly enjoying the 2017 vintage right now by the way, and just a few days ago had a delicious example of the neighbouring wine, Larcis Ducasse). Expect a swirl of gunsmoke, plenty of rich and juicy blueberry and blackberry fruits, violets, peonies, cloves and cumin. Traditionally the southen slopes of St Emilion were called the most Burgundian of the region, and there is a touch of Musigny about this. 100% new oak for ageing. Easily one of the wines of the vintage, tasting even better with six years under its belt, brilliant stuff from François Mitjavile.
