ABOUT THE WINERY
Laughing Jack
Situated near the hamlet of Greenock, Laughing Jack is a small family owned winery run by the Kalleske family. The winery gets its name from the ‘laughing jacks’ – the Kookaburras that reside in the gum trees surrounding the vineyard. The first vintage was produced in 1999 from 5.4 tonnes of old vine Shiraz, made by Shawn Kalleske in an old tool shed on the property. Today Laughing Jack produces several f wines from estate vineyards including the Jack’s, Moppa & Greenock ranges alongside some limited edited dessert and fortified wines.
