Having grown up on his father’s Steve Lubiana’s vineyard in the Derwent Valley, Marco graduated in Oenology and Viticulture from the University of Adelaide in 2018. It didn’t take him long to return home and his debut wines from the 2018 vintage have already caught people’s attention. In 2016 the Lubiana’s purchased the Panorama Vineyard in the Huon Valley, which had been planted by Steve Ferenze in 1973. Some great wines have been made from that fruit over the years but with the vineyard in biodynamic conversion and with Marco at the helm, this is both a vineyard and a label to get in to keep your eye out for! As for the two debut wines from Marco, they are beautifully balanced and unadulterated expressions of chardonnay and pinot noir.
