MASSOLINO Nebbiolo, Langhe 2023 Bottle
About this wine
MASSOLINO Nebbiolo, Langhe
Massolino Langhe Nebbiolo is drawn from younger Barolo vines in Serralunga, plus parcels in Monforte and Alba, giving a wine that reads as a lifted, early-drinking cousin to the estate’s cru Barolo. Fermented traditionally with around 15 days on skins and then aged for just over a year in large Slavonian casks, it focuses on purity and fine tannin rather than power, with bright red-berry, cherry and violet notes carried by chalky, graphite-like structure. Recent vintages sit around the 90–92-point mark with critics such as James Suckling, The Wine Advocate and Huon Hooke, praised for transparency, balance and value, making this a strong entry point into both Massolino and Piedmontese Nebbiolo for the cellar and the table.
