Langton’s Selections O’Leary Walker Watervale Riesling, O’Leary Walker Polish Hill River Riesling, O’Leary Walker Claire Reserve Shiraz Established by David O’Leary and Nick Walker in 2001, O’Leary Walker is located at Leasingham in the Clare Valley. This is essentially a negociant business sourcing fruit off vineyards locally, the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale. The aim is to make wines which show freshness and strong regional definition. Both the Polish Hill River and Watervale Rieslings are absolutely top notch with pristine fruit and mineral acidity. The Cabernet – based on sub region Armagh and Polish Hill River Cabernet – is a fruit driven style which sees 20 months maturation in both new and seasoned French oak. The Claire Reserve (named after Claire Marie O’Leary – not a misspelling) is based on century old Clare Valley material. O’Leary Walker occasionally pops up on the market.
