ABOUT THE WINERY
Parker Coonawarra Estate
The late John Parker established Parker Coonawarra Estate in 1985 culminating with the release of the 1988 Terra Rossa First Growth in 1991. The 17 hectare Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, comprising predominately Reynell Selection colonial vine stock, lies at the southern end of Coonawarra on traditional terra rossa over limestone soils. Best known for the complex age-worthy Terra Rossa First Growth Cabernet Sauvignon, Parker Estate also produces a two other wines Terra Rossa Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2013, the Hesketh family acquired Parker Coonawarra from the Rathbone Wine group.
