Pehu Simonet Face Nord Millesime Grand Cru, Champagne

Pehu-Simonet is a small, independent Champagne grower based in Verzenay, one of the Montagne de Reims' most revered Grand Cru villages. Under the guidance of David Pehu, the domaine crafts wines entirely from estate-grown fruit, expressing the precision and power of Pinot Noir balanced by the tension of Chardonnay from northern-facing slopes.

Face Nord, a vintage Grand Cru Champagne, is drawn only from exceptional harvests and fermented in stainless steel to preserve purity and site character. The base wines undergo complete malolactic conversion and rest on lees for several years before disgorgement with minimal dosage, ensuring a focus on terroir rather than artifice.

Each release typically opens with aromas of citrus zest, stone fruit and toasted brioche. The palate combines depth and drive, concentrated yet taut, with a fine mineral finish that captures both the energy of the site and the craftsmanship behind it.
