Expert Review
Stuart Knox
Medium to intense ruby with a little fade to the rim. Mulberry, bay-leaf and dry red soil aromas fill the senses. Enters the palate with ripe cassis, dark chocolate and cola spices that have weight and presence yet without blowing out due to a finely grained tannin framework. Goes long and lingers with bone-dryness at the finish.

Things came together rather well in 2018 and this cabernet and merlot blend is an outstanding example of the vintage. Expertly crafted to highlight the dark fruits, while fusing traces of cedar and dark chocolate with a hint of mint. Fine chalky tannins with a slightly oyster shell edge. The oak is neatly integrated, with its fine grain a feature. Has excellent cellaring potential.
