The Produttori still uses traditional methods to yield fine wines that have been the reference point for classic Barbaresco since 1958. The Rio Sordo is a brilliant Barbaresco with a cellaring potential that is contradicted by this low price. Located in the commune of Barbaresco itself, Rio Sordo is a classic medium-bodied expression of the Cru range. It’s called the "silky one" because its medium-generous fruit is juxtaposed with a less cutting acidity from the lower calcium levels in the soils. Incorporating a savoury edge typical of this site, this is a must-try for Barbaresco fans.
