About this wine
RAEN Royal St Robert Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Raen’s Royal St. Robert Pinot Noir is dedicated to the current generation’s grandfather. The fruit is sourced from a selection from their coastal vineyards, giving a window to the rugged hills of the westerly Sonoma Coast.
Vibrant aromas of black and red cherry, rose petal, and black tea fill the bowl. Wild raspberry and just-ripe red plum notes give way to coastal moss, wet gravel and forest underbrush. Western spice box notes complement the brooding, powerful fruit core, giving way to a vibrant and lasting finish.

Erin Brooks
Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Royal St. Robert is bursting with alluring cranberries, rhubarb and strawberries with nuances of charcuterie, tangerine peel, black tea leaves and dried roses. The medium-bodied palate offers layer after layer of spicy red fruit, supported by fine, silty tannins and finishing with uplifting freshness and perfume that calls you in again and again for another sip.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Royal St. Robert is a very pretty wine. Crushed flowers, mint, rose petal, blood orange and cinnamon give the 2019 gorgeous aromatic presence. Lithe and elegant in feel, the Royal St. Robert is super classy from start to finish. This is an especially ethereal, savory style with a lot of whole cluster influence. The Royal St. Robert is a blend of the three sites in the Raen range.
