Seppelt Original Sparkling Vintage Shiraz, Victoria

Seppelt Original Sparkling Vintage Shiraz is one of Australia’s most distinctive wines, with a history dating back to the 1890s. It’s made using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle and extended time on lees—often well over five years. Fruit is sourced from cooler Victorian sites, including the Grampians and Henty, selected for their natural spice, structure and acidity.

The base wine is matured in seasoned oak before tirage, building complexity without overt oak character. After disgorgement, the wine is finished with a low dosage, allowing the fruit and savoury notes to come through. Each vintage shows dark cherry, blackberry and spice on the nose, with hints of liquorice, pepper and earth. The palate is dry, structured and long, with fine tannin, creamy mousse and a savoury finish. A unique Australian style that holds its own at the table and in the cellar. Released with bottle age and ready to go.
