About this wine
Swinney Frankland River Grenache
The fruit is hand-picked from 18-year old bush vine Grenache, sorted by hand and crushed into small open-top fermenters. 20% whole bunch is used with wild fermentation to build structure and texture and provide the framework on which to express the distinctive aromatics and flavours of Grenache. The wine spends two weeks on skins prior to pressing directly to fine-grained large-format seasoned French oak. It is aged for 11 months prior to bottling. The wine is made with minimum effective Sulphites, is not fined and only minimally filtered.
