Terroir al Límit L'Arbossar, Priorat DOCa

Terroir al Límit represents a shift in Priorat. Dominik Huber founded the estate to move away from the heavy extraction once common in the region. L’Arbossar comes from a 1.6-hectare vineyard of ninety-year-old Carignan vines planted on steep Arbossar slopes. These North-facing vines sit in black slate soil, which helps maintain freshness in a warm climate.

Huber employs whole-bunch fermentation and avoids new oak entirely. The grapes ferment with native yeasts and age for sixteen months in large cement tanks and old Austrian foudre. This process preserves the fruit's transparency rather than masking it with wood. The approach is deliberate and focused on reflecting the site's specific geology.

The wine delivers a clear profile of black cherry and pomegranate. Its palate is lean and vertical, defined by high acidity and mineral tension. You will find flavours of wild herbs and crushed stones alongside firm tannins. It is a precise expression of old-vine Carignan, emphasising elegance over power.
