Terroir al Límit Terra de Cuques Negre, Priorat

Terroir al Límit’s Terra de Cuques Negre reflects the project’s origins in Priorat, where Dominik Huber set out to explore the region with restraint and clarity. Fruit is sourced from high-altitude sites on llicorella slate, including younger vines and cooler parcels that favour freshness over weight. The wine was conceived as a counterpoint to Priorat’s more extracted styles, offering a clear view of place without excess.

Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, with gentle extraction to preserve line and energy. Ageing takes place in concrete and older oak, avoiding new barrels to keep the focus on fruit and soil. Intervention is minimal, with precision guiding each stage.

The nose typically shows red cherry, raspberry and dried herbs, with notes of graphite and crushed stone. On the palate, the wine is light on its feet for the region, delivering red fruit, savoury tones and a distinct mineral edge. Tannins are fine and supportive, with fresh acidity carrying a clean, persistent finish. A Priorat of balance and intent, well suited to the table.
