About this wine
Two Hands Max's Garden Shiraz, Heathcote
Two Hands is a touchstone of exemplary shiraz from across South Australia’s best regions and sites. The Garden Series uses super-premium fruit to best express the terroir of six of Australia’s finest shiraz-growing regions. Max’s Garden Shiraz is made from the very best barrels of Heathcote shiraz.
Rich, earthy, and mineral, this is a distinct and savoury shiraz with great ageing potential. Menthol, herbs, berries and pepper emerge from the glass. Medium weight on the palate, this is an elegant wine abundant in soft, mouth-filling tannins.

Expert Review
Gary Walsh
Sweet red fruit, gum leaf, plenty of spice. Medium-bodied, orange peel and dried herb, brightly lit with an attractive perfume, a sort of iron filings character, and juicy red and black fruits on a cool and precise finish. Excellent.

Intense dark red to the rim. A bouquet of black olive, fresh-turned earth and black cherries. An explosion of cardamom, cinnamon and white pepper oak spices on the palate. Subdued but flowing black fruits follow. Definitely a full-bodied red as expected of the region, but it brings with it suitable tannins to handle the fullness while a brightness to the acidity adds a lightness that surprises into the finish.
