Vietti Cerequio Barolo DOCG

Vietti produces this Barolo from the Cerequio vineyard, a renowned cru situated between La Morra and Barolo. The vines grow in compact clay and limestone soils within a south-facing amphitheatre. This site is celebrated for producing Nebbiolo with exceptional power and structural depth. The estate treats this fruit as a singular expression of one of the most prestigious locations in the Langhe.

The winemaking follows a traditional path to ensure regional typicity. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with long maceration of the skins for approximately 4 weeks. Winemaker Eugenio Palumbo ages the wine for thirty months in large Slavonian oak casks. This approach allows the wine to develop character without aggressive oak spice.

The nose delivers scents of balsamic, red fruit and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is full and rigorous, featuring flavours of black cherry and liquorice. It possesses firm tannins and a persistent finish.
