Vigneti Boveri Giacomo Avermasia Rosato, Colli Tortonesi

Giacomo Boveri produces this Rosato in the Colli Tortonesi hills of Piedmont, drawing on a family farming heritage dating back to the nineteenth century. He sources fruit from estate vineyards three hundred metres above sea level, where limestone and clay soils impart a distinct mineral structure. This wine is a deliberate expression of local terroir, crafted with the same precision as the prestigious Timorasso and Barbera for which the estate is celebrated.

The winemaking focuses on clarity. After brief skin contact to achieve a pale hue, the must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Boveri avoids oak to preserve natural acidity and primary fruit. The wine rests on lees for several months, building a clean texture and mid-palate weight.

The nose offers scents of wild strawberry, pomegranate and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is bone dry, featuring flavours of redcurrant and crushed stone. A saline quality defines the finish.
