Yeringberg Shiraz is an elegant spicy cool-climate style showing white pepper, red plums and a core of ripe black fruits, fine tannins and well-integrated oak. The Shiraz fruit is sourced from a single vineyard. Minute amounts of Viognier are co fermented with the Shiraz in small open top fermenters. A portion of the wine is matured in new French oak.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Yeringberg
Yeringberg is a family owned vineyard in the Yarra Valley, renowned for producing elegant, age worthy wines. The historic Yeringberg was established in 1863 by Guillaume de Pury and ran until 1921. In 1969 Guill de Pury planted a 0.4 hectare vineyard on the grubbed-out old site. Since expanded in 1970, 1985 and 2000, the vines are planted on silty clay loams interspersed with buckshot gravels. Best known for their Cabernet blend, Yeringberg also produces fine, elegant examples of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.
