Region Criots-Batard-Montrachet

Their colour is gold flecked with emerald, darkening towards yellow with age. Their bouquet evokes butter and warm croissants, bracken, dried fruit, spices and honey. Body and bouquet are not separately distinguishable, so closely blended are structure and harmony into a single perfect whole. Unctuous and firm, dry and caressing, enveloped and profound, these wines combine every virtue in a firmly-established personality.

Winery BLAIN-GAGNARD

Domaine Blain-Gagnard is a small family wine producer established in 1980. Run by Claudine Blain and her husband Jean-Marc, the domaine owns great vineyard sites in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay. Although predominantly a top tier white wine estate, small amounts of Volnay and a small parcel of Pinot Noir from Chassagne are also produced. Domaine Blain-Gagnard’s style is one of finesse and elegance with underlying minerality. Battonage is employed sparingly and the use of new French oak is also pared back, yielding wines with precision, purity of fruit, balanced acidity and superb length and line.
