Domaine Armand Rousseau Mazy-Chambertin

One of Rousseau's lesser-discussed grand cru holdings, yet consistently exceptional. Mazy sits at the northern end of the Chambertin belt and tends toward a more precise, mineral expression than the fuller-bodied southern grands crus. In Rousseau's hands, it is impeccably structured, with a tension and precision that rewards extended cellaring. Allocations are tiny, and its relative obscurity compared to Chambertin itself makes it one of Burgundy's most rewarding discoveries.
