Yalumba The Octavius Old Vine Shiraz
The profound and authentic Octavius Old Vine Shiraz derives from venerable Barossa vineyards established between the turn of the 20th century and World War II. The oldest vineyard was planted in 1854. After traditional vinification, the wine is matured in Yalumba-coopered French and American octaves, barriques and hogsheads for 20 to 22 months. The style is typically rich and dense with dark chocolate, mocha aromas, chalky tannins, and roasted chestnut oak.

About Yalumba
Since Samuel Smith's 1849 founding, Yalumba, led by descendant Robert Hill Smith, remains a family-owned winery. Their Barossa and Coonawarra fruit, combined with modern practices, showcase diverse wines. Louisa Rose, a remarkable winemaker, shapes their exceptional whites, a true benchmark in Australia's winemaking scene.
