In this 12-bottle pack, you will find
9 x Castello Di Volpaia Chianti Classico 2020 (RRP $38)

1 x Bera Barbaresco Rabaja Riserva 2015 (RRP $189)
1 x Ca Rome Romano Marengo Vigna Cerretta Barolo 2018 (RRP $170)
Volpaia is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in Radda, boasting some of the domination's highest vineyards. The wines from this picturesque town are synonymous with extreme elegance, as it produces wines with fragrance, finesse and longevity. The Castello Di Volpaia Chianti Classico 2020 (RRP $38) is an impressive everyday wine.
Now, we look at the upgrades! We have traded three bottles of the Chianti Classico and swapped them for two single-vineyard Barolos and Barbaresco Riserva. First, is the Paolo Conterno Ginestra Barolo 2018 (RRP $300). Source from the Ginestra vineyard, the finest cru in Monteforte, renowned for its south-facing exposure, clay-calcareous soil, and producing structured, elegant, and age-worthy wine. For the 2018, we recommend some additional time in the cellar. Second, this Bera Barbaresco Rabaja Riserva 2015 (RRP $189) comes from a prime location in Barbaresco, offering optimal sun exposure terroir that produces wines with exceptional depth, complexity, and ageing potential. Third is the Ca Rome Romano Marengo Vigna Cerretta Barolo 2018 (RRP $170) from the exceptional Cerretta cru in Serralunga d'Alba, known for producing structured and complex fine wines.

James Suckling
Aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and rose petals, as well as sous-bois notes of damp leaves and mushrooms. Medium-bodied with firm tannins and a long, focused finish. Showing some structure for 2018. Needs plenty of time. Best from 2025.

Black-cherry and orange-peel aromas and flavors. Some lead pencil and slate, too. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and firm acidity, which adds verve and tension to the wine. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Wine Spectator
The 2018 Barolo Cerretta is a gorgeous wine that captures all of the richness of the year, but with terrific energy and vibrancy to keep things nicely balanced. Sweet red cherry, mint, rose petal and spice notes lend striking aromatic intensity.

Rabajà faces southwest and this fruit comes right from the heart, only bottled as Riserva. Vines in and around 40 years of age and three years spent in large Slavonian oak. Quite floral and lifted on the nose with a firm tannic structure and great length.
