Domaine Armand Rousseau Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru, Gevrey-Chambertin
Domaine Armand Rousseau owns .76ha of Lavaux Saint-Jacques (situated next to Clos Saint-Jacques) and replanted one third in the early 90s during which time the fruit was blended into the Village wine. The 2001 vintage saw the wine bottled for the first time since the replanting. A cool site, this is one of the last Rousseau wines to be picked resulting in an especially pure, minerally wine that has excellent depth and silky tannins and will reward at least ten and usually longer in the cellar.
