Harlan Estate draws its grapes from a number of the best sites, with elevations varying from 70 to 370 metres, in the Oakville sub-region of California’s Napa Valley. Grapes are destemmed and fermented as whole berries in small, open-topped vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 100% new French oak and the wine matures in the same barrels for 24-36 months. Harlan Estate produces a distinctive expression of California Cabernet Sauvignon noted for powerful perfume, richness, depth, concentration and intensity – yet also for elegance and purity of fruit. Along with Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate has widespread recognition as a quintessential California Cabernet.
