Created as a tribute to the house's most illustrious patron, Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill represents the pinnacle of Pol Roger's portfolio. Sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards that were under vine during Churchill's lifetime, the exact blend remains a closely guarded secret. It relies heavily on Pinot Noir for structure and broad weight, balanced with a portion of Chardonnay for finesse.

Winemaking is traditional, with base wines undergoing double cold-settling before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to protect pure fruit expression. The wine avoids oak. Secondary fermentation and extensive lees ageing occur 33 metres underground in the house's cool chalk cellars, where hand-riddling creates its distinctive, fine mousse.

Across every release, expect a deep, complex nose of toasted brioche, orchard fruit, dried citrus peel, and crushed chalk. The palate delivers remarkable texture, balancing rich stone fruit, hazelnut, and warm spice against a firm spine of acidity.
