The Landmark Vintage Release takes their flagship Winemakers Selection cuvées in standout vintages and releases the wines with age from Tyrrell’s historic cellars. These are perfectly preserved wines with a distinctive sense of time and place from the masters of the Hunter Valley.
Tyrrells’ flagship Shiraz is a study in Hunter Valley excellence. A barrel selection of only the finest parcels from sites across Tyrrells Hunter holdings. First released in 1961 alongside Vats 5 and 7 (with the famed Vat 1 Semillon following soon thereafter in 1963), the Vat 9 reached its zenith soon thereafter with the famed 1965 vintage. Classically styled with elegant and spicy palate driven by red berry and cherry fruits, it is the ultimate expression of Tyrrell's red.
