The Carlo Revello & Figli 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo draws its fruit from Annunziata, an area of La Morra. This wine is distinguished by a bright note of candied cherry that is impossible to miss. Indeed, that cherry note reinforces the so-called red fruit energy that abounds in this simple, easy-drinking Nebbiolo. This 8,000-bottle production sees straightforward winemaking that concludes with a quick six months in French barrique. This is a great pairing partner to pasta with cream and sausage.

La Morra here. A modernist winery returning to more traditional approach. Importer: Langtons
Scents of ripe raspberry, sweet cherry, faint char and malt, some gamey characters. Plush texture with a whipcrack of blood orange acidity, light tannin sheath, good length of flavour, a sense of succulence as it finishes. Bright, ripe fruitiness here but spice, savouriness in tow. Easy drinking Barolom, is the feel.

This has a lovely, floral nose. Aromas of roses, milk chocolate with orange zest and fresh raspberries. It’s medium-bodied with firm, ultra fine tannins and juicy acidity. Fun and delicate nebbiolo.
